The Met Office has discontinued the high surf advisory, but the small craft warning remains in effect.
Although a strong high pressure system centered over the central North Atlantic continues to generate easterly to east north-easterly surface winds of 20 to 25 knots (37 to 46 km/h), there are indication that sea swells are gradually improving.
The advisory was discontinued at noon today, but in addition to the wind speeds, seas 6 to 9 feet are forecast and small craft operators and sea bathers are asked to exercise caution. (PR/SAT)
