A change is needed in Barbados.
That firm message is being sent out on Christmas Day by leaders who remain concerned about the continued violence on Barbadian streets, a deterioration in family values and social consciousness, and even the cleanliness of local communities.
Governor General Dame Sandra Mason, Prime Minister Mia Mottley, Opposition Leader Bishop Joseph Atherley, and Anglican Bishop of Barbados Michael Maxwell have all called for a reconstruction of the island’s social fabric.
Dame Sandra believes a look back at good old Bajan values could help put the country back on track. (BA)
