Fatal accident at Brereton

A 49-year-old Christ Church man died on the spot after two vehicles collided along Brereton Main Road, St Philip today.

Andrew Harewood of Fair View was driving a white van owned by BAMC Carrington, St Philip, when he was involved in a head-on collision with a truck driven by Tyrone Sobers, 48, of Farm Road Terrace, St Philip.

Two fire tenders and nine personnel responded to the scene and used the Jaws of Life to extricate the deceased.

Police investigations are continuing. It is the first road fatality for 2020. (PR/SAT)
