Students in Class 1 to 3 at Lawrence T. Gay Memorial Primary School will be back to school next week.

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training says from Monday, students in Class 1 and 2 will report to Christ the King Anglican Church, Rock Dundo, St Michael, and Class 3 students to the Jackson Seventh Day Adventist Church, Jackson.

Reception, Infants A and Infants B students will report to Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventist Church, Eden Lodge, on Tuesday, and Class 4 students will continue to be housed at the Grace Hill Moravian Church.

The plant at Spooner’s Hill, St Michael, was closed after complaints from students and staff.

Testing is ongoing by the Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations, and the Environmental Protection Department has been engaged to find solutions to eliminate the environmental problems surrounding the school.

REA Envirohealth will also continue to work with the Ministry of Education, to monitor the air quality on the plant.

Parents and guardians are invited to a meeting to discuss the relocation of the school at 4 p.m. Sunday, at Christ the King Anglican Church. (PR/SAT)
