The turbulence one Barbadian Muslim woman experienced on a Virgin Atlantic flight had nothing to do with the atmosphere outside the plane – but everything to do another passenger, who allegedly assaulted her.
Firhaana Bulbulia, reported that on February 1 she was on her way home travelling onboard VS29 from London Gatwick when she encountered a white middle-aged British man, who was seated behind her. She alleged that he did all he could to stop her from reclining her seat.
After a tense exchange, the 25-year-old was eventually relocated by airline staff. This did not sit well with her, and she wrote the company a letter and posted an account of the incident on Facebook on February 14.
Since then, the post was shared by hundreds and led to an apology from the airline. (TG)
