The Post Offices will open earlier on Thursday to facilitate the cashing of all pension and welfare cheques.
The opening hours will be from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at all branches except the Airport Post Office, which will remain closed.
Today, there were long lines outside the various branches as people went to collect money. However, there was a late start, and some people complained the 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. slot was not long enough.
The enforcement of social distancing also contributed to the long lines. Today was reserved for those with surnames A to H, but many people outside of that group were also in the lines. (SAT)
