Barbados has widened its net to catch people who entered the country in the week before Government introduced mandatory quarantine for visitors or locals from the United States (US) or the United Kingdom (UK), or returning nationals, just in case they may have been exposed to the coronavirus (COVID-19).
In a press statement yesterday, the Barbados Government Information Service said the Ministry of Health and Wellness was making a call for all those who arrived in Barbados between March 15 and 22.
In an interview with the Weekend Nation yesterday, COVID-19 czar Richard Carter said they were not taking anything to chance.
The registry was rolled out on the same day two more Barbadians were allowed to go home after recovering from COVID-19, taking the recovery total to eight. No deaths or new infections were recorded overnight, leaving the death total at three, and infections at 63. (BA)
