CULTURAL AMBASSADOR, The Most Honourable Anthony “Mighty Gabby” Carter, says Government didn’t have much of a choice but to abandon this year’s staging of the Crop Over Festival.
Both the multiple kaiso king and 2019 Soca Monarch Mikey told Nation News it would be a blow to the country and artistes.
Gabby said he was surprised though by the shelving of the National Independence Festival Of Creative Arts (NIFCA) which falls later in the year.
The decisions were announced today by the Ministry of Creative Economy, Culture and Sports as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. (GBM)
