UPDATE: Accident at Collymore Rock

Two first responders were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) for treatment after the ambulance in which they were travelling overturned on Monday.

They are Paul Payne, 52, of Marchfield, St Philip, and 41-year-old Damien Belgrave of The Baltic, St Peter, who both complained of various injuries.

The ambulance was in an accident with a van owned by Caribbean LED Lighting and driven by Everton Evelyn, 44, of Henley, St John. He complained of slight injuries.

Two fire tenders and a wrecker were also on the scene, as the overturned ambulance had temporarily blocked the carriageway.

Police investigations are continuing. (PR/SAT)
