Suki looking to push more

Draughts master Ronald “Suki” King says he will have to re-evaluate his role as a player/promoter to remain a world-class contender.

King acknowledged in an interview with the Weekend Nation that he will no longer be able to combine both roles.

Last October, the dynamic King paid the price for trying to organise, promote and play in the World Three-Move Restriction clash with Sergio Scarpetta, suffering a crushing 8-1 loss to the Italian.

“It was really tough on me last year when I played for the world championship, working late at night and then struggling to be at my best the next day.” (MK)
