UPDATE: Burst main affects Fort George Reservoir

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) said today that a burst discovered on a nine-inch main in Belle Gully, St Michael has affected the Fort George Reservoir.

According to a statement from BWA: “This break directly affected the supply into the Fort George Reservoir which earlier today, Sunday, June 7, was discovered to be empty. The Authority will update the public accordingly regarding the completion of repairs.”

Outages are affecting areas in St Michael and Christ Church.

Fort George Reservoir is located in St Michael.

BWA said earlier today that water tankers will be dispatched to the affected areas. (PR)
