Convicted attorney Vonda Pile went home yesterday.

Almost two weeks after her appeal on an application of bail was allowed and she was released with a surety of $200 000, Pile walked out of the Court of Appeal in the company of family members.

The Court of Appeal comprised Justices of Appeal Kaye Goodridge, Francis Belle and Jefferson Cumberbatch.

The delay in her release was as a result of issues relating to insurance papers. She will return to the court on September 10 for the hearing of the substantive appeal on her conviction and sentence. Until then, she has to report to Oistins Police Station every week. (HLE)
