Officials of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Royal Barbados Police Force are currently on the scene of a shooting at Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church.

Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss confirmed moments ago that police received a report of the shooting just after 2:30 p.m., and that someone has been injured.

Inniss also said police had been informed of shots being fired in the area of New Orleans, St Michael, but early information suggests no one had been injured in that incident.

More details as they come to hand. (BA)
