Pupils at A DaCosta Edwards Primary School are better prepared to access online educational resources.
As part of their St Andrew Strong Outreach Programme, The Thursday Club and St Andrew branch of the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) donated 15 tablets to the school.
The tablets are to assist pupils of Class 4 who are preparing to write the Common Entrance exam. The A DaCosta Edwards Primary School is the first of three schools in the constituency to which the club intends to donate devices. The two other schools are St Silas and Hillaby Turners Hall Primary.
Tricia Henry, president of the St Andrew branch, and Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education Senator Dr Romel Springer were present for the donation, which principal Lorraine Hinds received on behalf of the students.Â
Hinds expressed gratitude for the donation and said it will go a long way in ensuring that all students would be able log on and take advantage of the online resources available to assist them with their preparation. (PR)
