Glenroy James’ kind heart might have cost him his life because while other workers wanted a man lurking on the run-down Bishop’s Court property gone, he voted to let him stay.

The body of James, 51, of Grazettes, St Michael, was found slashed on the premises of the abandoned property at Bishop’s Court Hill, St Michael, on Monday. The discovery sparked a response that ended in 25-year-old NATION photojournalist Christoff Griffith, who turned up at the still unfolding crime scene ahead of police, also being killed.

On Monday night, police took into custody a man who was living on the property in the heavily-wooded area.

Sarisa King, of A&B Maintenance, who was supervising the clearing of asbestos on the property as contracted by the Anglican Diocese, said James was not the confrontational type.  (AC)
