Consumers will pay more for gasoline, diesel and kerosene, but less for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products, effective midnight, Sunday, July 5.
A statement from Government today said the retail price of gasoline will be adjusted from $2.80 per litre to $2.96 per litre, an increase of 16 cents. The price of diesel will increase by two cents, going from $2.29 per litre to $2.31 per litre, and kerosene will go from 63 cents per litre to 82 cents per litre, an increase of 19 cents.
The LPG 100lb cylinder will retail for $129.27, down from $158.71, a reduction of $29.44. The 25lb cylinder will now be sold at $37.42, down from $44.78, a decrease of $7.36. The cost of the 22lb cylinder will drop from $39.56 to $33.09, a reduction of $6.47; and the 20lb cylinder will retail at $30.08, down from $35.97, a decrease of $5.89.
The statement said these price adjustments are in keeping with Government’s policy of allowing retail prices to be reflective of those on the international market. (BGIS)
