Two shot at Flash Zone Bar

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in investigating the shooting of two people at Flash Zone Bar.

Officers from Black Rock Police Station, patrols from CID, District A and a Divisional Patrol responded to a report of two people being shot while at the bar located at the bottom of University Hill, near the Frank Worrell Roundabout, St Michael, about 4 a.m. on Sunday.

Witnesses said an argument led to an altercation between two men. Reports indicated that security broke up the fight and escorted both men out of the bar.

“As one man was leaving, he was confronted by two men who approached the bar from the direction of Black Rock Main Road. A number of explosions were heard before the men ran away towards Deacons Farm area,” according to police.

Kimberley Sue Agard, 34, of Edward Gap, St Matthias, Christ Church, received a gunshot injury to the left knee. She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance.

Rico Ward, 29, of Lot # 7 Reece Land, Brittons Hill, St Michael received injury to the left side of the back. He was transported by private vehicle to the QEH.

Investigations are ongoing.
