Burglar sent up for 12 months

It will be a 12-month stint in prison for a former waiter who broke into several Christ Church businesses.

Gaylan Alphonso Alexander Marshall had the sentence imposed on him when he returned to the District “A” Magistrates Court last Friday.

Marshall, 42, who has no fixed place of abode, had pleaded guilty to breaking into Blu Ms Hair Salon, between June 27 and 29, and stealing a drilling machine, a shower head, a hammer, a hair curling machine, a curling iron set, four hot water elbows, two hot water sockets and other items, totally valued at $1 181, belonging to Vangleck Knight.

He also pleaded guilty to entering Worthing Court Hotel, between June 30 and July 1, and stealing bottles of disinfectant, dishwashing liquid, surface cleaner, air freshener, a sponge, cans of insecticide and a bottle of wine. (HLE)
