Two men are expected to appear in the Holetown Magistrate’s Court on Monday on gun charges.
They are Baggio Elson Roberto Roach, 29, of Block 1 #38 Thorpes, St James and Mario Antonio Demar Robinson, 29, of Denny Road, also in Thorpes.
Roach is charged with possession of a Glock 9mm without a licence and eight rounds of ammunition without a valid permit, while Robinson is charged with possession of a Ruger .40 pistol and 23 rounds of ammunition without the respective licence and permit.
According to police, members of the Antigun Unit and C.I.D. northern Division executed a warrant at Roach’s home on July 7, 2020. Roach and Robinson were said to be present and tried to escape, but were apprehended by lawmen.
The guns and ammunition were allegedly discovered in the ensuing search. (PR/SAT)
