One of the seven people currently in isolation with novel coronavirus (COVID-19) will be released from the Harrison Point, St Lucy facility, after recovering from the viral illness.

There were no new positive cases among the 110 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health and Wellness. These included tests on 42 passengers who arrived on an Air Canada flight yesterday.

Meanwhile, testing of people who were identified for a third COVID-19 test from the July 4 Jet Blue repatriation flight has been completed. Except for the one positive result on July 14, all of the others were negative for the viral illness.

Barbados has recorded 104 cases of COVID-19, and 91 people have recovered from the illness so far. Six people remain in isolation, and seven have died.

The public health laboratory has completed 9 270 tests. (BGIS)
