The stall where Rita “Sissy” Hunte worked at the Berinda Cox Fish Market will be named in her honour.

Parliamentary representative for Christ Church South Ralph Thorne and Minister of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy Kirk Humphrey made the announcement during Hunte’s funeral service yesterday at the facility where she made a living for three decades.

“The greatest honour we can do to this lady is name her stall and her shed in her memory –the Rita “Sissy” Hunte Stall and the Rita “Sissy” Hunte Shed,” Thorne said.

Humphrey agreed, adding everyone at the market and those who were close to her should emulate her kindness. (SB)
