The mother of a former soldier, who was shot and killed on the compound of District “A” Police Station more than three months ago, is crying out for justice.

Silvadeen Kinch made the appeal during a vigil on Saturday night for Pablo “Pabs” Kinch, 26, a Lance Corporal in the Barbados Defence Force (BDF), who died on April 6.

“We want justice . . . . We want closure and we want justice,” she told relatives, friends and work colleagues who came out in their numbers at the Inch Marlow Pavilion, Inch Marlow, Christ Church.

“He didn’t need to go like this; on his job. A job that is supposed to be protecting him is the one that took his life. I wasn’t looking for that. I thought he was happy at his job, but I don’t know what happened on that day.” (SB)
