The Ministry of Health and Wellness announced today that two more passengers who arrived on an Air Canada flight into Barbados last Sunday have tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19), after undergoing a second test yesterday.

They are the mother and brother of the ten-year-old, who was diagnosed on arrival at the Grantley Adams International Airport. They are all in isolation at Harrison Point, St Lucy.

The 38-year-old woman and 14-year-old boy, who were in quarantine since testing negative a week ago, were among passengers retested yesterday. Others will be retested today.

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory returned 106 test results yesterday. All the others were negative.

Barbados now has on record 108 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and, of these, 94 have recovered and seven have died. Seven people are in isolation.

The public health laboratory has completed 10 140 tests. (BGIS)
