Rookie drivers have been urged to keep on winning in an effort to keep motor sport alive in Barbados.

The advice came from Retail Formats and Promotions manager at Sol (Barbados) Ltd, Karoline Smith as she presented fuel vouchers to the two fastest rookies from event number two of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) AutoCross series contested at Bushy Park last Saturday.

She said that it is among the youngsters that the future of the sport lies and called on them to keep up the competition and keep on winning.

“On behalf of Sol Barbados, I want to congratulate all the participants of the racing last Saturday, especially the two top rookies, Liam Rondon and Ramon Moore, to whom we have donated fuel vouchers and who were separated by hundredths of a second. Keep up the competition and we are looking forward to many more exciting races in the future,” Smith told guests at the presentation ceremony at the newly-opened Sol Airport Service Station. (TT)
