Time ran out for Shurland Winston Marshall last Friday.
Back in February, the general worker had been given four months to pay compensation. But up to Friday when he reappeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court he had paid not a cent of the money.
Marshall, 39, of Parkinson Field, St Michael, was back in court after he had pleaded guilty to entering the Sol Collymore Rock Gas Station, between July 19 and 20, 2015, and stealing 304 boxes of cigarettes, seven bottles of brandy, 12 packs of wrappers, 20 SIM cards and other items totally valued at $5 378, belonging to K. Maycock Investment Ltd.
In February, this year, Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant ordered him to pay the $5 378 as compensation to the complainant in four months’ time. (HLE)
