The 18th annual one-week camp Project S.O.F.T (Safeguarding Our Future Today), which is scheduled for August 24 to 28, will be a day camp this year.

The camp, which is making a change from residential, will be held at the Eastern Caribbean Bible Camp, Ruby, St Philip, under the theme: Better Knowledge For Better Care.

The National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA) camp will cater to 40 children who sat the Common Entrance Examination, and is designed to prepare them and their families for entry into secondary school, by discussing the multiple life challenges they are likely to face, a statement said.

Registration begins on August 10, and runs until August 14, or until spaces are filled. There is a registration fee.

Interested people may contact Makeada Bourne at the NCSA by calling 535-6272, or by emailing [email protected]. (NCSA/BGIS)
