The Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) is set to receive $1 million worth of cricket supplies over a three-year period following a major sponsorship deal with Pakistan-based equipment company Stonehill.

It’s welcome news for the island’s top players, who will play competitive cricket for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, when the BCA domestic season starts at various grounds tomorrow.

One hundred teams have agreed to participate in the Twenty20 Cup, Twenty20 Shield and Twenty20 Plate with players wearing the newly branded gear.

Word of this came from BCA chief executive officer Dr Roland Toppin during a press conference yesterday at Kensington Oval to launch the 2020 league. (AGB)
