A short, sharp shock for lying to the court ended with Shamario Simeon Odle being ordered to complete community service when he reappeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Last Wednesday, Odle, 21, a gardener, of Deacons Road, St Michael, had pleaded guilty to possession, trafficking, possession with intent to supply and cultivating cannabis on August 11.

He had tried to convince the court that he was a first-time offender and had never been before the courts.

However, court documents showed he had previously appeared on a drug charge and had been reprimanded and discharged for the offence. (HLE)
