The Barbados Meteorological Services extended the flash-flood watch for Barbados until 6 a.m. Sunday.

A flash-flood watch is issued when heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time could result in flooding within the watch area, but it does not mean that flooding will occur.

Rainfall accumulations of up to 30 mm occurred over some central and northern districts on Saturday and further rainfall accumulations of 25 to 40 mm in moderate to heavy showers are expected across the island tonight.

Residents and visitors should continue to monitor official sources for updates. (PR/SAT)
