Burke is BOA’s new VP

Cameron Burke is the new vice president of the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA).

After a two-hour closed-door annual general meeting at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on Wednesday night, Burke defeated president of the Barbados Volleyball Association, Kenmore Bynoe, 21-15.

The retired meteorologist and former BOA assistant secretary general replaces the late Ralph “Bruggadung” Johnson who passed away in May after holding the post for many years.

Former manager of the Barbados Women’s football team Ytannia Wiggins (25) and Craig Archer (22) defeated Barbados Hockey Federation vice president George Bennett (6) and president of the Barbados Table Tennis Association Dale Rudder (17) for director positions. (AGB)
