Three people were charged with the murder of Coast Guard officer David Thompson who was reported missing last month.

They are Shaulon Rashidi Collymore, 23, and Andre Ricardo Watson, 28, both of Lakes Village, St Andrew and 25-year-old Shaquille Jesse Romeo Goodridge of Belleplaine, in the same parish.

In addition to the murder charge, they are also facing one count of arson of a car belonging to Rasheda Cadogan.

The three accused are expected to appear at the District “A” Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.

Thompson was reported missing on August 26, 2020, last seen two days prior. The 28-year-old lived at Mount Standfast, St James, or Rock Dundo, also in the same parish, with his girlfriend Rasheda Cadogan.

Later that day, police were alerted to Ashford, St John, where what appeared to be human skeletal remains were discovered in a burnt out car. Tests to confirm identity were being conducted. (PR/SAT)
