Harris’ ideal candidates

President of the Barbados Football Association (BFA) Randy Harris is urging candidates contesting today’s elections to let the development of the sport be the driving force behind their running for office.

Harris, who will be unopposed at the annual general meeting slated for 4 p.m. at the Wildey Gymnasium, St Michael, is hoping all 26 candidates vying for positions are interested in taking local football to the international stage.

In fact, the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) president believes those running with alternative motives should forfeit their campaigns.

“If the purpose of them vying for positions is not primarily in the interest of the game of football, they should decline the nomination. That is not the kind of people we need in football.” (AGB)
