The Barbados Meteorological Services issued a flash-flood warning for central districts of Barbados from noon until 6 p.m.
Some part of Central Barbados have already recorded 1 to 2 inches of rainfall and accumulations of 30 to 75mm in heavy showers are expected as the afternoon progresses.
Residents in low-lying districts are asked to take the usual precautions.
The warning will be discontinued before 6 p.m. if conditions warrant.
