The Royal Barbados Police Force has launched an investigation into how the contents of a fact sheet which formed evidence in a murder investigation would have been leaked into the public domain before a trial started.

Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith said if the document was leaked from within his ranks, such actions would not be tolerated.

The facts of the murder case involved information provided to police by murder accused Shaulon Rashidi Collymore, 23, and Andre Ricardo Watson, 28, both of Lakes Village, St Andrew, and Shaquille Goodridge, 25, of Belleplaine, St Andrew, who appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court last Saturday.

The Commissioner was also sent an official letter yesterday by Watson’s attorney Derek Boyce, asking for the matter to be dealt with urgently. (BA)
