The Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources began paving the road from the junction of Fordes Road to the top of Rendezvous Hill on Saturday.

The work is expected to last until 4:30 p.m., but in the meantime, the road is closed and motorists are asked to expect delays.

Road users are also urged to obey the directions of the flag personnel and to avoid the area, where possible.

Earlier today, traffic was a slow crawl from the Garfield Sobers Roundabout through Clapham on to Wildey. Vehicles were also backing up towards Graeme Hall and Sargeant’s Village.  (PR/SAT)
