Man not guilty of having gun

His case was on the cusp of a conclusion when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the court system.

After an almost six-month break, Seth Ashad Michael Straker was found not guilty by a jury in the No. 2 Supreme Court last Thursday.

Straker, of Rock Close, Wildey, St Michael, was on trial in March on charges of having a Beretta A303 semi-automatic shotgun and three rounds of ammunition on May 9, 2007.

He conducted his own defence, while Crown Counsel Rudolph Burnett and Crown Counsel Danielle Mottley prosecuted. (HLE)
