Update: Woman shot in leg

Police are withholding the name of a 47-year-old woman who was shot on Saturday along Tweedside Road, St Michael, during a robbery attempt.

The woman, who is hospitalised, has a broken right femur as a result of the gunshot injury.

A media statement said police responded to the report of a shooting incident which occurred around 8:13 p.m. at an “establishment” there.

The woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle. (PR)
