As thousands of disgruntled students and parents express concern about this year’s Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) results, that body is urging them to submit a query.

Many students across the Caribbean complained on the CXC Facebook page about this year’s grades which fell below the accepted norm.

CXC released the results of the Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC), Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) on Tuesday.

“CXC has a long established process in place for addressing these concerns. Candidates who have questions about an Absent or Ungraded result, can submit a Query,” CXC said in a release.

“If there is a question about a grade and the candidate wishes to have a script re-examined, they may submit a request for a Review.”

These may be submitted through schools for in-school candidates or through the Ministry of Education for private candidates.

The deadline for submission of Queries and Review requests is October 23, 2020, and more details can be found at http://bit.ly/cxc-queries. (PR/SAT)
