COVID cases reach 190 as one more recovers

A 24-year-old female visitor who arrived on Virgin Atlantic on September 19 was positive for COVID-19 after a second test on Thursday.

She is now in isolation at Harrison Point, St Lucy, but another patient at that facility has recovered and will be discharged on Friday. As a result, the number of people in isolation remains at eight.

The number of confirmed cases in Barbados now stands at 190, with 175 recoveries and seven deaths.  

On Thursday, 324 tests were conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory yesterday, a total of 22 536 since February. (PR/SAT)
