COVID patient identified through contact tracing

A 30-year-old female is the latest person to be diagnosed with COVID-19 in Barbados.

Identified through contact tracing, the Barbadian woman is now a patient at the isolation facility at Harrison Point, St Lucy, from which three people will be discharged on Saturday after recovering from the viral illness.

The number in isolation fell to seven and recoveries increased to 182. The tally of cases recorded in Barbados since March is 196 and there were seven deaths.

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 252 tests on Friday, bringing the total completed to 24 360. (BGIS)
