St Matthews Primary Schol got a helping hand yesterday in its efforts at managing the COVID-19 protocols among pupils.

The St Matthew’s Old Scholars and Friends Association donated close to 300 masks to the Jackman’s, St Michael school, with president Monica Hendricks saying this was one of the many community initiatives in which the group was engaging.

During a morning ceremony, she said they were always eager to partner with the school to offer assistance. She encouraged the students to wear their masks correctly and wash their hands before they ate.

Acting principal Esther Wilkinson thanked the association for the donation, adding that the entire student body (151 children) would receive a mask. She said the remainder would be kept at the school and distributed to students who forgot their masks at home. (SB)
