Visitor on drug trafficking charges

Delmar Windsor Fletcher is scheduled to appear in the District ‘B’ Magistrate Court on Monday, on drug trafficking charges.

The 62-year-old Jamaican, who lives at Apt 402, # 207, Morning Side, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, arrived in Barbados on an Air Canada flight on November 5.

According to police, when he was searched by Customs officials, his two suitcases were alleged to contain 39 packages of marijuana, weighing 43 pounds.

He was charged with possession of cannabis, trafficking, possession with intent to supply and importation.  (PR/SAT)
