Adara Stoddard again bested the opposition on Thursday night as the Barbados Aquatic Sports Association’s Short Course Swimming Championships continued at the Aquatic Centre.

Stoddard was a menace in the Girls’ 13-14 division, with three wins out of three in the 400-metre individual medley (IM), 100-metre freestyle and the 50-metre backstroke.

In the 100, she narrowly pipped clubmate Amelia Mayers at the wall to claim victory in the 59.38 seconds, one-tenth of a second faster than the runner-up. Adia Deane was a close third in 59.89 seconds.

Stoddard claimed her third victory of the night in the 50-metre backstroke. She completed the race in a quick time of 31.46 seconds, while Mayers was second in 32.17 seconds. Deane finished third once again, in 32.74 seconds. (NM)
