One visitor will enter isolation today after testing positive for COVID-19.

The 71-year-old woman, who arrived on JetBlue on December 5, was diagnosed with the viral illness after a second test. She was asymptomatic and was the only positive case among the 617 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Laboratory yesterday.

One person will leave isolation today. As a result, there are still 19 people in isolation.

Barbados recorded 290 confirmed cases, comprising 150 females and 140 males.  Of these, 264 people recovered and there were seven deaths.

To date, the public health laboratory has completed 50 986 tests. (BGIS)
