The Barbados Football Association (BFA) is taking major steps to upgrade its headquarters at the Wildey Turf to international standard.
A private firm began construction to extend the main administrative building last Friday and is expected to take seven months to complete the process.
“We are expanding our offices. We are building a conference room, referee quarters and offices upstairs of the current facility,” BFA president Randy Harris told NATION SPORT yesterday during a telephone interview.
“What we are also doing is building a wall as well around the perimeter of the building. As we get the finances we are doing the work. We must ensure that we are up to global requirements so we can invite teams to Barbados to train. We want to have the required things in place that would encourage the teams,” Harris added. (AGB)
