His attorney wants Chad Joel Hunte to get a non-custodial sentence for having a .38-calibre gun and 20 bullets three years ago.
However, the prosecution suggested the court impose a fine of $35 000.
The confessed gunman will learn his punishment when he reappears before Justice Randall Worrell in the No. 2 Supreme Court next Friday.
Hunte, 23, of Merricks, St Philip, was back in court yesterday after he had pleaded guilty at an earlier Session of the Continuous Sittings to having the firearm and 20 bullets on September 4, 2017. He has one prior conviction for possession of cannabis. (HLE)
