Governor General Dame Sandra Mason will be absent from office on vacation leave for the period February 6 to 15, 2021 which will be spent in Barbados.
In accordance with the provisions of Section 29(1)(a) of the Constitution of Barbados, the Very Reverend Dr Jeffrey Douglas Gibson will perform the functions of the Office of Governor General during Her Excellency’s absence.
He was sworn in by Justice Randall Worrell at Government Headquarters today. (BGIS)
