Worrying signs on beach path

COMMUNITY ACTIVIST Adrian Donovan is concerned that signs posted along the path leading to the beach at Herbert’s Woods, Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church, could be misleading to the public as well as tourists.

One sign reads Emergency Vehicles Only Beyond This Point. However, other No Entry signs are posted on trees.

Donovan, who recently came across the signs while using the beach which is adjacent to the upscale Sandals Hotel, also expressed concern that no one knew who erected the signs.

Such signs on public beaches are usually posted by the National Conservation Commission (NCC) with its logo attached, or the Barbados Sea Turtle Project, which also has its logo attached. (MB)
