Tridents for overseas camp

The senior national football team will set up a two-week training camp in the Dominican Republic ahead of their FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Panama and Anguilla later this month.

The Barbados Tridents are set to leave the island next Wednesday in order to adequately prepare for a tough game versus the No. 81-ranked Panama on March 26.

Barbados were unable to practise for several weeks as the island went into a month-long lockdown in February and a ban on all sporting activities was implemented.

At the time, head coach Russell Latapy said inability to train was hampering preparations for the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches and the Concacaf Gold Cup 2021. (EZS)
