The famous Queen’s Park ground, home of Spartan Cricket Club for over 130 years, is getting a welcomed makeover, with the field being regraded.

Spartan’s president Chris Odle told Sun Sport they were extremely happy with the regrading of the field, the site of many a derby between Spartan and arch-rivals Empire and several other exciting battles over the years.

“There is a lot of tradition at this ground and the regrading is very timely, as cricket is not being played right now. We anticipate that when the work is completed we would be able to bring back many of the past traditions and excitement with the staging of more trial games,” said Odle. (KB)
